The first field mission around the Saint-Jean-du-Doigt (SJDD) mafic intrusive complex is achieved (Brittany, France). The weather turned out great and outcrops were amazing along the shoreline. The SJDD intrusion is a heterogeneous layered body with complex magmatic interactions between mafic and intermediate to felsic compositions (see Caroff et al. 2011 and Barboni et al. 2013 for further explanations). Now, we let the rocks talk by the investigation of the metal content (Sb-Hg-W-As) of primary minerals (silicates, oxides, and sulfides) and the melt inclusions compositions from the mafic to felsic rocks.
